Hello and Welcome to Green Organic Makeup!

I’m Colleen, a Registered Pharmacist, with a history of Celiac disease and SIBO. These digestive disorders cause a lot of abdominal bloating and distention. Since there are not many doctors who have knowledge and data on these diseases, they are very hard to diagnose, and also treat. It’s almost like a hit and miss type treatment that you have to figure out on your own.  The extensive research that I’ve done on my own over the years always leads to one solution that works to solve the  bloating and digestive symptoms. That solution is going completely organic, with food, household products, and yes even makeup.

Out of the three, I can say that diet is the biggest challenge. However it’s not the only one that contributes to good health. Your skin is the largest organ in your body and it basically absorbs everything. Your face also contains more pores than any other part of the body which is why it’s so important to use natural, organic products for a safe and healthy life.

Green Organic Makeup believes in cosmetics and skincare that are natural, organic, vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free and paraben-free. The recent discovery of carcinogenic makeup ingredients like parabens, phthalates, and sulfates that disrupt hormones and release toxins has lead to a new shift in the cosmetic industry. Some companies are starting to produce products you can use that work and do not affect your health or cause any irritation to your skin. Unfortunately, not all cosmetic companies are making this move to safer ingredients. It’s really the smaller companies that seem to be moving faster towards safe cosmetics in the industry.

Green Organic Makeup is here to help you find these safe products that actually work without having to read all of those tiny labels, and ingredients. And let’s face it literally, do you want to apply synthetic chemicals to your hair, skin and especially your face? Your skin is the largest organ in your body, it’s full of pores that absorb everything you apply to it. Your face has more pores than any other area on your skin so it absorbs everything. This makes it really important to check ingredients and make sure you are not putting toxic chemicals on your overly absorbing facial pores.

There was a time when synthetic chemicals were the only thing available in cosmetics. The consumer demand for more natural, safe and organic products has ignited the movement for cosmetic companies to take a step up and reformulate their product lines with safer ingredients and it’s working.  Cosmetic companies are replacing synthetic chemicals with more natural products such as coconut oil, rosehip oil, Vitamins A, C and E, pumpkin seed oil, matcha green tea, and cannabis just to name a few.

The most interesting thing about the safe cosmetics movement is that they work amazing for your skin. They last longer, are more pleasant to smell, with a natural fragrance and give smoother overall skin appearance, They have also proven to be more beneficial to acne prone skin healing

Green Organic Makeup is focused on reviewing companies and their products, that are leading the industry with organic, safe, natural, cruelty-free, gluten-free, vegan, paraben-free, phthalate-free products in their cosmetic line.

Green Organic Makeup gives updated reviews on companies  who are incorporating natural and safe ingredients into their products including cannabis. Cannabis-infused makeup and skincare products are becoming very big in the cosmetic industry because of the many benefits that cannabis oil -infused makeup and skincare has on the skin. Cannabis oil is a natural antioxidant that fights off free radicals, it has anti-inflammatory, and natural hydrating properties.

SIDE NOTE-CBD oil is a natural ingredient derived from the flowers, stalks leaves and seeds, of the Hemp plant. The primary ingredient in cannabis-infused makeup is CBD oil or cannabidiol. This does not contain THC, the psychotropic ingredient in marijuana.
